The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 6.9 猫猫即是正义! 从传统人物传记片逐渐演变为某种lsd式迷醉幻觉，在一个不断增强的磁场中传导着愈发激烈的电流，导体当然是猫。(nick cave客串好逆天，如果我没搞错的话，他演的是h.g. wells??????????)
姐弟部分的内容怪怪的 不过插叙那部分还是有点触动
出人意料的小惊喜，两段情感都处理的很好。初恋的青涩，男女主都是少男少女感十足，特别林允儿，就像邻座的班花。李星民的配角戏份，也非常精彩。韩国中生代黄金配角太多，也太强了。每个都有个性，和演技出彩。蕴藏在父子亲情间的隔阂，原来一直藏匿着个秘密，东亚文化的特色，隐晦沟通法。
最后三十分钟不如预期 应该是高潮却落入俗套且没什么亮点 但前半很不错 信看朴正民
前期预告让人以为整篇会围绕车站的事情，看了才发现只是其中一部分

腐女舔屏向：工作短暂离别的思念丶大雨淋湿担忧的相见之夜丶忐忑互见彼此父母家人丶结婚典礼亲友们诚挚的祝福，CP粉丝们想看的都有了！可惜剧情美好得太像童话，现实不可能如此顺利，毕竟结尾也婉转表示：纯粹是安达(赤楚卫二 饰)故事书上的想像。★★★☆三星半
看日本人谈恋爱确实是累，磕着磕着翻几个白眼的水平hhhhhh
导演到底搞没搞清楚他到底要拍男主的才华，还是男女主的爱情，还是拍猫，没重点就什么也没。
猫和狗的最大区别在于 猫的智商不高 所以营造出它们高冷不易接近人的形象 偏偏这就和忠厚通人性的狗形成强烈反差 人就是喜欢它们这样。猫的本质还是独居孤独喜欢困在自己世界里 路易斯韦恩恰好也是这种性格。这电影第一感动人的就是 韦恩他老婆临死前告诉他要和世界分享爱 封闭的韦恩就把猫那种闭塞不善交流的性格有意反过来地展现 所以他画出来的猫都是人性化有交流倾向的。仔细想想 把自己的爱人变美好去贡献世界 这就是最崇高的【大爱】了。另一处感动是最后那块夹在扎记的围巾 希望他以后别再受困于虚无的噩梦 自己死后化身一抹美丽的蓝守候他 这是只属于夫妻两人的【小爱】。两个人的感情超美 就像这电影的摄影一样。
boring，浪费这么多卡司。那一组一年四季的镜头，秋天的落叶做的像小软件一样廉价
期待挺大的，但是故事不是讲的很好，感觉导演既想描述主人公的爱情又想表现他和猫的关系

猫成为宠物就是因为这个人？
至少开头很轻松地把我带进了故事里，本以为是简单轻快的韩式爱情故事，没想到隐藏的是亲情内核，怎么就避不开这种催泪的电影了哎
人物塑造的不够立体，靠演员和舞美留住观众不退场
镜头不错，剧情太拉，看了半小时了，一只猫没画……
它们荒唐，胆小又勇敢，孤独，就像我们一样。如果不看电影真的想象不到，如此可爱、令人愉悦的作品背后，是一位屡次失去挚爱、长期挣扎在精神失常的边缘的艺术家。
林允儿好好看 不过男女主爱情哈哈哈哈这真的好理想主义
虽然猫是卖点，但足足到40分钟后才出现第一只猫，全片也没有多少猫的镜头。有些画面很美，不过暗调的画面更多。总之看着挺累的。
