brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'
看完还是没有很了解Jonathan Larson
这才是能淋漓呈现当下流媒优势的音像制品，尽管电影语法/结构性较弱，LMM还是为其注入了难得轻逸的律动感。两种艺术体裁的融合不止体现于即兴唱段，还有情绪和画面的巧妙对接（泳道幻化成的五线谱，经典的天台抒情段落，偌大体育场内孤独的钢琴）。喜欢用脱口秀做scene-switching point的创意，观众直到结尾才露面，是对叙事上自传式口吻的印证。很多细节固然还可以深挖，但维持在目前的水平业已令人动容。生命倒计时前的任性执着，恰到好处的鸡血和感伤。
排练和声段落，每个白人中间都夹着一名少数族裔，格外整齐。太服气了，有劲儿吗？真的开始觉得美国片不如法国片好看了。
电影中那首几乎磨死乔纳森的金曲《胜于话语》里，创作者问到，“恐惧还是爱？别说出答案。”

音乐剧传记片，创作者困境故事，个人情感充沛，整体渲染扁平，除了加菲其他角色都不讨喜。
Lin-Manuel Miranda居然是导演，太有才了。Andrew Garfield璞玉浑金，如果凭借此片拿2022第94届奥斯卡最佳男主的话可以说实至名归，期待他更多惊喜的作品。
Sunday推倒餐厅墙壁那段太音乐剧了
前女友拍了爱乐之城，加菲哥是想着不甘人后也来这么一部吗？可惜他音乐感不太好的样子，反倒觉得凡妮莎出彩。

7.9 剧本结构的起承转合做的好，罗莎这个角色做的漂亮，迈克也是他的灵感缪斯，斯蒂芬稍弱。最美场景泳池里的音符。当然此片还是不如爱乐之城，主角的还原度没有那么高。
终于把年度期待看了，太棒。一部专属于Larson的自传电影，要是他还在的话今年就61了吧，时光多快，排着他戏长大的林漫威都给他拍电影了。感谢疯狂夹带私货的lmm，宽街有你真好啊，这部用心到感动，just so personal！主旨就不提了，而且Larson在ttb里面提到的问题，相信看过rent的人都能找到回答。很多转场和编排都蛮有意思，喜欢两种叙事相辅相成，模拟录像带用纪录片的形式延续现实中的真实的结局，（虽然已经脱敏但还是哭得很大声）。有Vanessa声音出演，全宽街人都来客串，在Sunday看到了BP，如果MP叔也在就好啦，最后模拟点彩画的处理，是个桑粉都会流泪吧！还有个遗憾就是邀请这么多作曲人客串了为什么不邀请pasek & paul啊（不是
电影剧情就是套路励志片嘛，歌曲一般吧，算不上多好听。
宽街剧粉必看。突然理解为什么戏剧界那么多写自己生活的剧作了，因为正如经纪人大姐所说，作为独立创作者，确实只有写自己的生活才最容易动人。
和Whiplash之间差100个La La Land
作为传记片来说，形体和表达方式其实非常一般，加菲尽最大的能力在复刻和诠释乔纳森·拉森的半生。胜在情感真挚和每一首音乐都很好听。从默默无名再到生活撂倒，见证一个一个朋友的离去，巨大的声音摧毁了他。加菲的表演很好，好几场戏有闪光。更多的情况我会觉得乔纳森的一生就像胡波，他们都是被锯断腿的大象，一个是无奈而死，后则是无奈而生。音乐电影的魅力就是享受当下，活在当下，足矣。/记忆衰退，毫无感觉。
放在电影里看是好看的音乐剧，放在音乐剧里看是好看的电影，即便能感觉到林聚聚还有加菲已经尽可能做出了最大的努力和尝试，但它仍然有点两头都不靠，这大概就是其尴尬之处吧。（但还是希望加菲今年能争取奥提！
更勿论90年代独有的那般复杂的社会环境和特殊的政治氛围。
同为LMM的作品，比起《In the Heights》，我更喜欢这部（好多重合的演员），不仅剧情跟紧凑，歌曲也更好，加菲的表演很加分。ITH中只有一首印象深刻的歌，这部则太多了，最喜欢的还是Therapy，特别是歌词，笑死我了：I'm saying I feel bad, that you feel bad；About me feeling bad, about you feeling bad；About what I said, about what you said；About me not being able to share a feeling。
