The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 太爱了。魏玛时代混沌的社会，一切精神都充满了撕裂，正直与道德无法生存。希望拥抱爱情最后却溺水身亡的作家。只有真实才会给人以慰藉，只有真实的慰藉才给人以活下去或者死亡的勇气。
前三十分钟手持镜头的快速蒙太奇，之后的两个多小时开始正常叙事，很长，但我看得很耐心，猜到结局但我仍然很喜欢。
山雨欲来风满楼。结尾才点出纳粹二字，但实际上预兆式的疯狂早已经渗透到了日常生活当中。一切都有如预告式地走向那个我们所知的悲剧。秩序之下的恐怖，焚书时代的前兆，一个作家荒诞的死亡，不知是悲是喜。

全片充斥着碎片化但却温暖的情绪，事业、友情和爱情的不幸在导演的处理下都显得不太冷酷，试镜时的独白，les酒吧里和好友的轻轻一吻，咖啡馆对峙时女孩伴着Ombra Mai Fu落下的泪水，以及山雨欲来前返回家中和父母共享平静的幸福。
什么样的国家才会让几个十几个人决定几百乃至几千万人的生死。
德国人精细严谨的特点被表现得很好
随了剧情推进，形式感被逐渐消解，代入感却越发真实。文青的结局似乎从来都是注定，在任何国家，在任意年代。“我应该去当教师，只有孩子适合拥有理想”。
就像那个一个月生命的瘸腿老头，这种状态下，他大把的散财毫无顾忌，也不怕打死妓女承担的后果，因为他的未来没有希望，正抽象了当时社会大众的整体状态。

透露着纯真柔软的情欲和爱还是很打动人的，像初生的孩童不断沉入海里。剩下的，交给贫穷和时代的叹息。
