The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 男权当道的社会，女人该如何自由地活着，并且活得有意义？当然只能靠自己及身边的挚友。如果运气好遇到同道中人，就像电影所演的遇到一位好姐妹，那就是前世修来的福气啦。片中其实还隐隐告诫女人，嘴快嘴利的女人可能会害了自己，所有女人啊，管好自己的这张嘴还是很重要的。

故事讲得感觉有点虎头蛇尾，但并不影响后面在医院里的剧情。
她们本身没有病，是在疯人院被人逼出病来的。 女人之所以成为女人，不是天生的，而是后天形成的。 看得很压抑的一部片子。
情节、场景偏分散、琐碎，过于强调情绪的细微变化。表达并非深刻，但意图较明显。
梅拉尼真是才貌双绝啊（虽然本片中扮相略老），自编自导本片，还是女主之一；背景和服化道都很到位，配乐虽然只是简单的大提琴奏鸣曲，但和背景相得益彰，和悲凉的氛围很配。
在那个压迫女性的时代，疯女人是女性解放者的代名词，向那些为女性自由平等的疯女人们致敬。
剧情一般，也不知说了点啥，全冲着两个女主角去的。
女性违背父权社会的行为即可定义为疯。而实际上的疯是权力者的疯癫。控制，僭越，强暴。女性是统一战线的，疯女人之间没有相互伤害，只有爱与温存。
