Reiki Master Poonam Srivastava

Reiki1
I am Poonam Srivastava, a Reiki Master/Teacher, shinpindin and haijin.
I have always been interested in energy.
I received Reiki 1 with the wonderful teacher Laura at the Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center in NYC in 1996. I immediately began a daily practice that has been a foundation of my life. I began to heal myself and others. Even as my schooled mind fought against this invisible touch, I fully experienced it and so it grew strong. With daily practice the mind’s scramblings were laid to rest.
In 1998 I felt ready to take Level 2. I began almost immediately to use it to heal my past and construct a future that was in accord with my values. I also began to heal friends and family who were at a distance and to participate in Reiki circles with other healers.
In 2004 I renewed my Reiki 1 and 2 with Carlos Gonzalez. At that point, with nearly a decade of Reiki self healing and healing of others, I yearned to dedicate myself to this art form. The next year I did my first Masters with William Lee Rand in upstate New York.
I opened up my Reiki Clinic in upstate New York. I had a steady flow of clients and saw the wonder of Reiki on ailments to the body, mind, spirit, and place in the world. I also began teaching Reiki upto the masters level. In 2010, I moved back to New York City and redid the Masters Course with William Lee Rand in Michigan. I plan on taking courses with other teachers as well.
I follow the ICRT methods and professional guidelines closely. (please visit http://www.reiki.org)
I have always been intrigued by the energy that surrounds us and situations. My father was a physicist. I believe that the energetics of something can deeply interface with matter for deep healing and lasting change.
 Waves to particles to waves!
